Stag & hen do ideas · Queenstown & Cromwell
The stag or hen do story they'll still be telling
Forget the pub crawl warm-up. Strap the bride or groom into a 2-seater F1 race boat and send them across Lake Dunstan at over 160 km/h, with corners that pull up to 6G.

Why it works for a stag or hen
Big on adrenaline, easy to organise
Each rider gets their own 10-minute run in the passenger seat beside an experienced pilot. Nobody needs a licence or any experience. All you have to do is hold on.
- Small groups welcome: bookings start at just 4 riders.
- Everyone gets a turn: it's a 2-seater, so each rider has the boat to themselves with the pilot.
- Fits around the rest of your day: we take around 6 riders an hour, so it slots in before a winery lunch or a big night out.
- Simple pricing: $295 NZD per person.
- Rider limits: 12 years or older, up to 6 ft 1 in (185 cm) tall and up to 115 kg.
Plan your timing
How long will our group take?
Rides run one after another, about 6 an hour. Here's a rough guide:
| Group size | Time on the water |
|---|---|
| 4 riders | about 40 min |
| 6 riders | about 1 hour |
| 9 riders | about 1.5 hours |
| 12 riders | about 2 hours |
Getting here
An easy day trip from Queenstown
We're on Lake Dunstan at Mount Pisa, Cromwell, in Central Otago. That's under an hour's drive from Queenstown and from Wanaka, so it works whether your stag or hen weekend is based in Queenstown, Wanaka or right here in Cromwell.
Rides depend on lake conditions. If the weather means we can't run safely, we'll work with you to find another time.
