The racing years

15 years at the top of NZ F1 powerboating

Ants spent 17 years racing powerboats, 15 of them in the elite F1 class, where he won multiple back-to-back New Zealand championships.

Alongside great mate Malcolm Jamieson from Picton, he ran a two-boat team that dominated the sport in New Zealand, racing KRB hulls Malcolm built himself. When they sold those boats, the pair stepped up to world-circuit machinery, with Ants in a BABA hull and Malcolm in a DAC, and they stayed the ones to beat right up until they sold up.

The dream

Building a two-seater F1 beast

After years of racing, Ants had one more dream: to put someone else in the seat beside him. He wanted people to feel what it really takes to handle an F1 boat at full speed, with the raw power, the precision and the G-forces that push you back into your seat.

To make it happen, he teamed up with Malcolm once again, this time with Malcolm as the builder. Two minds, one passion. Together they transformed Ants' boat into a two-seater F1 machine, engineered to take passengers safely into the heart of the action.

The result is F1 Super Boat NZ, the world's first two-seater F1 powerboat ride open to the public. Now it's your turn to strap in.
